Easy! You bring all of your items to the register and we weigh them for you there and determine the price. Everything is $10/lb.

And, you don’t have to have a pound to check out. We weigh everything to the exact weight. Every .1 lb = $1

Just give it back to us! You do NOT need to commit to buying something before it is weighed. 

For reference, a T-shirt is usually about 0.5 pounds, making it around $5. A kimono can weigh around 2 pounds, making it around $20. Every item varies! You can weigh any item at any time at our register.

All items may be returned or exchanged with a valid receipt. Returns are issued as store credit in the form of a gift card. 

We partner with a recycling plant in Tokyo called Ecommit. They source the clothing for us, saving it from landfills, and ship it to us quarterly in a 20-foot shipping container.

Japan has a very high rate of textile waste as it is not very common for them to buy their own secondhand clothing; as a culture they prefer to buy new or to buy secondhand fashion from other countries. We saw an opportunity here since Japanese fashion and culture is popular in the US. 

A very wide variety! We bring in a mix of everything from basics to designer items. We don’t separate anything by quality; you might find an Armani jacket next to a Uniqlo one!

Yes, the clothing is washed before it is shipped from Japan.

Yes! Even the ones on the ceiling (as long as we can reach it)! They are also sold by the pound.

 Yes, we have four fitting rooms. You can always try items on before buying them.

 Often, yes. Many Japanese items fit differently than typical US sizing standards, and sizing can vary widely depending on brand and style. We always recommend trying items on for the best fit.

Yes, but we do not have a plus-size section; all sizes are mixed into the racks. The racks are organized by clothing type and color rather than by size.

Yes; the lower level is generally men’s, and the upper level is generally women’s. However, a lot of our items are gender neutral, and we recommend that everyone check out both levels!

While we receive new shipments quarterly, we usually have a massive backstock to pull from. We restock almost daily!

Unless they are a service animal, no!!! We have a lovely shop cat named Ula, and while she loves people, she does not get along with other animals.
